Benefits of Using Airless Paint Sprayers for Interior Projects

Benefits of Airless Paint Sprayers

Deciding on a tool of trade can be tricky. And if that trade is painting and the tool a paint applicator, then the wide range of options can be confusing. Consider, however, that experts have tested the different option for you and suggested that the airless paint sprayer is an excellent option if you are looking for a perfect finish.

In reality, the best airless paint sprayers can be described as the optimal choice for any painting job. Fitted with an electric pump that sends pressure to the paint reservoir, the sprayer allows the painter to adjust the spraying nozzle so that the volume of paint released lands on the intended surface. This core feature of the model defines its major benefits as outlined below.

1. Fast and efficient

Just for being a sprayer, the airless model offers the painter the benefit of covering large surfaces in little time. Specifically, the airless sprayer is faster and efficient because paint can be injected with precision and the nozzle adjusted to release paint puffs appropriate for the surface.

2. Allows for Finer Details

The airless sprayer is opportune when the surface being painted makes the job tougher. The point is that, the applicator can be adjusted to tackle any surface ranging from the corner bends, the rough blocks or the fine furniture trims.

3. No Pressure no Waste

Since the airless sprayer does not use extreme pressure to compel the paint but relies on controlled pressure from an electric pump and an adjustable nozzle, little paint is wasted and the finish is less messy.

4. Universal use

Because of their adjustable applicator, airless sprayers can be used in a variety of surfaces diversified by size, form or even texture. For example, you can effectively paint an exterior wall with a wide-adjusted nozzle just as you can achieve precise results by painting a tiny table-top flower vase with a fine-adjusted nozzle.

5. No nagging

The airless sprayer does not make the irritating loud noise of air compressed models. You can work for long hours without having to put up with the annoying noise of a compressor.

6. Easy to Fix

Airless sprayers are fitted with adjustable nozzles that are easily fixed if they should clog. By just turning the applicator, you can fix the block and continue with the painting.

7. Anyone can use it

You need not be an expert to use the airless sprayer. The excellent features of the model allow the do-it-yourselfers achieve excellent professional finishes.

In sum

The many benefits of an airless paint sprayer makes choosing your tool of trade easier when it comes to painting. You need not be an expert to achieve a precise painting finish, anyone can easily pass for a professional.

Tips for Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Tips for Painting Kitchen Cabinets

Painting kitchen cabinets gives them that perfect facelift which creates the feeling of a perfect ambience every time you walk into your kitchen. You’re greeted by the warm welcoming color that adorns your neatly arranged cabinets with grandeur.

If you are already building a vivid mental image of the perfect kitchen, then you may also be welcoming the idea that your kitchen would look great with a makeover. Let’s assume that you decide in favor of painting your kitchen cabinets, what should you bear in mind? Here are your ABC tips for a perfect kitchen transformation.

Make Your Financial Estimates for the Project

Businesses and organizations make their annual budget and stick it. Anything that is not budgeted for and which would not be financed by the miscellaneous amount has to wait for the following year. You certainly don’t need to make annual budgets for your home needs. So when you decide for a kitchen painting project, check your bank balances to ensure they can cover for the cost of good paint and painting equipment. You also need to consider the professional painter’s fee in case you do not opt to do it yourself. Eventual hardware replacements also come with an extra cost.

Pay attention to all the pre-painting details

No one commits to painting kitchen cabinets in view of an imperfect and temporary product. If you don’t want this to be your fate, take care of the following preparation details to ensure an impeccable and long lasting outcome:

  • Remove drawers, cabinet doors and hardware such as hinges and knobs. This allows paint to reach every bend.
  • Label doors, drawers and hardware to preclude spoiling the good painting job with ill-fitting doors and drawers.
  • Protect floors and countertops with drop cloths or brown paper to avoid making a messy kitchen while trying to create neat cabinets.
  • Sandpaper your cabinets to remove grease and old paint. Paint sticks better on sanded wood.
  • Vacuum and/or pass a damp cloth to eliminate any dust and avoid untidy painting.
  • Using a filler to close up any dents anticipates a flawless finish.

Perfectly paint your kitchen cabinets

Abide by these tips to achieve a perfect cabinet painting job:

  • Apply a primer to create an even base and use a color that is at most 75% close to the top paint. This gives your painting a better finish. A fast-drying primer is advised though not one that dries extremely fast and causes brush marks when you try to create an even finish.
  • Use latex-satin paint to achieve that neat finish. A final satin polycrylic coat can offer additional durability to your painting.
  • White, near-white, gray and navy colors are a common feature on kitchen cabinets. If you choose brighter colors like green and blue, always opt for their lighter version.
  • Improvise a working table and support your doors and drawers when you paint them. This allows for neat painting that would be impossible on a floor.
  • Kitchen cabinets are best painted using a brush or a mini roller. Be sure to make full length stroke and follow the wood grain.

A word of caution

Allow your cabinets to dry completely before you replace your equally dry doors and drawers. A blemish on freshly painted surface can only be remedied by going through the complete painting process. You, definitely, don’t want to be redoing your just completed job.
